Roctech Engineers' Suggestions on Maintenance of CNC Engraving Machines

The maintenance of a CNC engraving machine is quick and straightforward. If carried out regularly, it will enhance performance, reduce unplanned downtime, and extend the general lifespan of your machine. Following the maintenance guidelines specified by the manufacturer will further enable you to conduct and perform routine protective support work on your machine.

To keep different parts of the CNC engraving machine up-to-date and ensure its efficient operation, here are five general maintenance guidelines:

   1. Regular cleaning and maintenance: CNC engraving machines are the perfect choice for heavy industrial applications, so they require proper cleaning every day. This helps prevent any form of chips or liquids from being absorbed into the controls and bearings. According to local power control regulations, the power supply must be fully, accurately, and safely connected.

   2. Vacuum pump: The vacuum pump and control box are equipped with air filters that require regular replacement. The largest machine requires pneumatic air to operate. It should be spotlessly clean, dry, and maintain a relentless weight of over 6 bar or 80 PSI.

   3. Connector: By turning off the machine, you will reduce the risk of burning out the connector. This will ensure that your machine and its users are properly safeguarded against sudden shocks.

   4. Other mechanical parts: Pumps, bearings, and oscillating blades require normal and proper lubrication. Typically, lubrication should be carried out monthly. Use WD 40 for deep cleaning of lead screws and ball nut fasteners. Damaged or worn cap nuts, clamps, and tools affect cutting quality. Therefore, inspect the damaged parts in the machine and replace them every 3 to 6 months. Ensure that the safety belt is replaced every two years.

   5. All three-axis gears: The gear assemblies of the fourth and fifth axes must be properly cleaned and lubricated. Additionally, adjust the clearance on each axis.

Roctech CNC engraving machines boast high precision and rapid speed, backed by a comprehensive pre-sales and after-sales service system. If you are interested in learning more about the details of the equipment, feel free to contact us, and we will provide a more detailed proposal.
